I think, I hope, I'll be back at the homestead this time tomorrow. It's been such a long wait, for many good reasons it's true, but I don't think that until now I realised quite how much my heart has been breaking.

Hello - heard something on Gardeners Question Time that might help, on the offchance you don't know it already. Apparently you can scare deer with a scarecrow that's wearing a t-shirt a real person has had on for a few days to make smelly. Might help keep the leeks safe!
We'll have to try that, but do you have any ideas for scaring off mice? the house is overrun with them.
