Backlinks
I've had to disable backlinks. Something strange happened overnight and suddenly all my recent posts had generated backlinks to each other. Needless to say, it wasn't me and they weren't relevant but the only way to delete them is to bosh each one individually or hide and ban the lot. I chose the option with least effort. Don't think it will have much effect on anyone's viewing pleasure but it's ruined my day.

Recently my blog service went a bit haywire, and decided that I hadn't paid enough premium to be posting "in 2004". I blog with a tiny provider, so was able to fire off an email to the owner of the service, but it was fixed within three days, and blogger probably will be too. Frustrating, but generally temporal, these problems with blogs. I advise not spending hours and hours on it. The end product will be the same.
And now comments are missing....
Except obviously not that last one! I give up.
Ha! Typisch.
i had the same thing - didn't know it was backlinks and also don't know what they are but i am going right over to disable them!
It's probably just a google glitch (as Sasparilla said but google glitched her too!) but I am paranoid because I seem to have to remove half of all comments. Stuff that looks innocuous often contains links to medes and worse. Anyone new has to be checked. Of course, this is insulting to people who just want to say hello or offer friendly praise.
And backlinks were one of the few places where anyone could attach stuff so I felt like I was being targeted in some way. Some cocoa has sorted that neurosis out.
